About Us

Our philosophy

We view a wedding event as more than just an evening gathering.

We believe that it is an opportunity to celebrate and take a step back from the daily routine.

The theme of our venue is this:  It’s 1930s, 1940s, maybe 1950s.  A small southern farm.  Family and friends come to visit for the big wedding.  Everyone gathers for days.  100 acres of rolling hills, forests, creeks, fields and a fishing pond are the backdrop.  An old farmhouse with rocking chairs on the porch.  Quaint and rustic.

But unlike back then, we have air conditioning, super fast wifi throughout and the latest modern appliances.  Although we are a farm, we have no barbed wire, animal manure or even mosquitoes (we spray). It’s all about the natural environment.  Comfortably, of course.

WHO WE ARE

We are a family-owned wedding venue located in Statesville, North Carolina.

The farm was built in 1939 and features a fully restored barn designed for weddings and events. The Wedding Barn features stained glass windows recovered from a church in England circa 1870’s.

Many folks inquire about the unique and somewhat different name of The Kinsleeshop Farm…

It is in honor of our grandparents, who owned a retail interior decorating store in Cleveland, Ohio for about 30 years.

It’s just kinda cool to be able to continue the tradition and keep the name alive over different decades, businesses and locations.

A peek into history…
